Bodiography Contemporary Ballet Summer Intensive June 24 - August 2 of 2013

Bodiography Contemporary Ballet Summer Intensive is a six-week workshop that enhances technique, artistry, alignment, and professionalism in the genres of ballet, pointe, modern, jazz, Pilates, choreography, improvisation, and repertory. This program is designed to train healthy dancers to attain technical proficiency and artistry while preparing for a strong college career and/or professional life in dance. Additionally, with BCB's primary fervor for education, the intensive format allows each candidate to perfect his or her physical artistry while focusing on academic excellence. Thus, all students in 11th grade and beyond are eligible to register for 3 credits in Ballet Technique (PART 1004-4004) and/or 3 credits of Contemporary/Modern Technique (PART1005-4005) through the La Roche College dance program. With an outstanding faculty of nationally and internationally renowned educators and Bodiography dancers, it is a program of the highest quality. (Students wishing to register for credits must be formally admitted to La Roche College, must pay program tuition directly to Bodiography, and pay La Roche College $450 per credit registered. All credits are transferable as long as the institution of choice accepts credit from La Roche College.)

The summer intensive is housed at Bodiography Center for Movement at 5824 Forbes Ave. in Squirrel Hill on the third floor.

Bodiography will be selecting 16 qualified students in one advanced level in the (14-21) age category. This level will enjoy a balanced curriculum, which will contain a minimum of 5.5 hours of intense study all five consecutive days of the workshop per each week of the session. Classes will run from 9am-3:30 or 6pm Monday-Friday.
