Grading
Students will be graded in two separate categories during the course of each 15 week session. This grade will be a pass/fail grade and will be faxed to the school upon completion of each term.
Attendance – Participation – Execution of Material
Up to three points will be given to each student per week to distinctly describe the following three areas:
1 Point – The student has attended each class for the entire week. Three doctors excuses per year. All others are considered unexcused absences.
1 Point – The student has participated in all of the weekly activities. Student may only be excused if faculty identifies an injury.
1 Point – The student executes each part of class with energy and enthusiasm, pays close attention to detail, and is subordinate each class period.
Absences from class automatically deducts .75 from the weekly 3 points possible
Written Assignment
Each term a 4 page written assignment will be given from a variety of health, wellness, and artistic topics. The student must clearly demonstrate their knowledge
of the chosen topic through research and eloquently present their topic for the class. Each assignment will be due the last week of the term. Students will be
graded on clarity, design, research quality, and presentation.
This project is worth a total of 6 Points
At the end of the term the 14 weekly sums will be added together in addition to the grade from the written assignment. This sum will then be divided by 15.
Any grade below a 2.4 is failing.
